Prayer Requests and Sick Call Announcement
Please remember in prayers: All our service men and women, all those suffering in any way from the flooding; Sean Glanville, Vic and his children, Rose Mayer, and Joseph Seper (Greg’s father), as they continue their recoveries; for the health and speedy recovery of Corinne Walentik and Christine Lampe; and for 8-year old Michael Conger, as he valiantly continues to battle leukemia. Remember in prayer those not listed who may be in any need.
  • Please let a priest know of a need for a sick call visit, whether for you, your family or a parishioner. Don’t assume they know.

Parishioners travel to Parma for Blessed Gojdic Event
The Kristof and Hertenstein families travelled to Parma, Ohio this past Sunday to attend the Eparchy of Parma Day in Celebration of the Life of Blessed Bishop Paul Gojdic, named Righteous Among Nations by Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Authority in Jerusalem. A very moving prayer service was held along with a well attended banquet. Look to the Horizon for full coverage as well as our own church web sight. Dave and Michael Kristof and Dave’s father, Zoltan, were specially mentioned as relatives of Bishop Gojdic.

    Humanae Vitae Event
St. Louis University School of Nursing and the Office of Natural Family Planning, Archdiocese of St. Louis, are co-sponsoring an event in honor of the 40th Anniversary of Humanae Vitae. The Legacy of Humanae Vitae: 40 years will be held on July 25-26, 2008. This event is designed to enhance knowledge of Humanae Vitae and its impact on living our Catholic teaching and on the serious role in which married people collaborate freely and responsibly with God the Creator. A pre-conference for Health Care Professionals (CME and CNE approved) will take place on Friday, July 25th. The following day, Sat., July 26th, is open to all people interested in this topic. For further information or to register, please call Sally Lehnert at (314) 977-8919 or visit www.slu.edu/x18044.xml.

    Check Out Page 6
In the monthly Eparchy publication, Horizons, June 15, 2008 edition, look on page 6 for a nice article on parishioner Michael Kristof. It sure is nice when one of our own makes good news! Congratulations Michael for putting our parish in the news and for your scouting accomplishments.
